Barry L. Saffer, President and founder of The Lawrence Group has 30 years of progressive accounting, financial, and operational management experience with private and public global technology companies of various sizes. Formerly he was Director, Financial Planning & Analysis – for a public software development company based in Rockville, Md., where he was responsible for overseeing all global planning/budgeting activities, global treasury management, financial analyses and business modeling for all global operations, mergers and acquisitions, strategic alliances, and corporate restructurings. Prior to that experience, he served as a group controller for a professional services firm located in Rockville, Md. where he was responsible for overseeing all aspects of the accounting, finance, and administration functions. While working at a large private technology manufacturer in Germantown, Md., Barry responsibilities included overseeing the opening of international operations throughout South America, North and South Asia, and Russia.
Barry received a Bachelor’s of Science Degree, with an emphasis on Business Administration and Transportation from the University of Maryland in 1988, and a Master’s in Business Administration in 1991, with an emphasis in Finance and Accounting, from American University. In addition, he passed the certified public accountant exam in 1993.
